Chilean’s fast growing mine business and related industry needs stable energy supply and prices,  clean produced and certified in front of carbon footprint (OECD-convention). Imported gas, oil and coal is not a long-termed solution. Whereas the Atacama-desert is prime region for renewable energy projects:

• Geothermal energy from volcanic fields and hot dry plutonic rocks in High Cordillera areas.
